GLIMPSES OF THE FUTURE

Time passes; the future becomes the present, the present becomes the past.
And prophecy, a riddle, often comes to pass quietly and unperceived.

Who is this woman?

Probably one of the main problems ahead for Satan will be the constant criticism and harassment of his regime by the Two Witnesses. Until their time is up, the Two Witnesses will be under God's complete protection, and the most Satan and his collaborators will be able to do about them will be just to fume in impotent rage.

Eventually though, the task of the Two Witnesses is finished and God will remove His protection from them.  They will be captured and taken in chains to the seat of Satan's power. There they will be murdered.

The person in charge of the operation to murder the Two Witnesses is a woman with all the delusional self importance and arrogance of her master Satan. The arrogance will bring her to a deservedly gruesome death.

When God is no longer protecting His Witnesses, this shallow tool of Satan taunts them with what seems to be perfect logic:

“Where is Jehovah your God?” (Micah 7:10)

But the logic is faulty because it consults only the surface.  It's the same faulty logic that was thrown in the face of Jesus:

“He saved others, but he cannot save himself. If he is the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.” (Matthew 27:42)

And just as that logic was confounded three days later, the Two Witnesses warn their tormentor that her logic will also be confounded:

“Do not gloat over me, my enemy; when I have fallen, I will arise”  (Micah 7:8)

But since when does arrogance heed warnings? The woman orders the murders to proceed.

In the presence of a large crowd, and a worldwide television and internet audience, the Two Witnesses are hanged.

The woman commands that the bodies remain on their gallows, and promises to return in three and a half days to gloat that they did not arise as they said they would.

The three and a half days pass and again a large crowd assembles. The crowd in the square, together with a worldwide audience, watch in amused anticipation as the woman stands below the bodies of the Two Witnesses. She ostentatiously counts down the minutes to the time she boasted that nothing would happen.

Except something does happen:

“After three days and a half, a spirit of life from God entered into them, and they both stood on their feet. And great fear fell on those seeing them.  And they heard a great voice from Heaven saying to them, Come up here. And they went up to Heaven in a cloud, and their enemies watched them.” (Revelation 11:11-12)

The crowd erupts in blind panic and stampedes away from the miracle. The Two Witnesses look on as their former tormentor is trampled to death:

“Then my enemy shall see it; and shame shall cover her who said to me, Where is Jehovah your God? My eyes shall behold her; now she shall be trampled like the mud of the streets.” (Micah 7:10)

Satan's regime has been humiliated in the eyes of the whole world. But much much worse awaits it.

The expected future is already the past

The four horsemen of the Book of Revelation have come and gone. Or rather, they have come, and gone, but still exist and linger as a memory.

“And I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him sitting on it was Death, and Hell followed with him. And authority was given to them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with the sword and with hunger and with death and by the beasts of the earth.” (Revelation 6:8)

The four horsemen depict the establishing, the existence and the methods of an empire which from Satan's seat of power, spread over the planet and eventually came to rule a quarter of the earth. It was, and although now spent, still remains a project of Satan.

The empire established itself by conquest with the weapons borne by a white horse. The weapons ensured the empire's crown and continued rule.

Wherever the empire gained a hold, its red horse instigated the killing of its conquered people, and lashed out in unprovoked attacks on those who would oppose its expansion.

Wherever the empire gained a hold, the economic plundering of its black horse ensured famine and starvation for the conquered people.

To the quarter of the earth under the iron heel of the empire, the sun never set on the pale horse of death and the grave.

Satan's last few days

There is knowledge, there are feelings, and there is the truth.

Knowledge comes from our senses and our mind. We either observe something ourselves, or we are told something by someone else.  Our mind then processes the new information and we come to a conclusion about it.

If we observe something ourselves, we are in a fairly safe position from which to make a judgement.  Fairly safe but not entirely safe, because our observation, or our interpretation of what we observed, may be faulty.

There could be many reasons why our observation may be faulty. For example, we may have seen only a part of something, or not seen it in its correct context, or not seen it in its correct sequence. Or what we have seen may have been a staged deception to fool us.

So merely seeing something for ourselves, on TV for example, is no guarantee that we have seen a true event.

And if seeing something for ourselves is no guarantee we have seen a true event, then whatever other people tell us shouldn’t even be considered as the truth. At least, not until we have seen evidence of what they tell us.

But there is a problem in coming to a correct judgement on what we have seen or been told. The problem is:

“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes.” (Proverbs 21:2)

In other words, we all trust our own judgement. Because we ourselves are always right.

And without a spark from God, the gift of doubt, that is, the gift of doubting everything they are told, people will remain believing in their own good judgement and can never escape into the truth.

This is not to say that people cannot accept new knowledge, because of course they can. Quite easily. But the new knowledge always has to fill their own existing needs. Needs known or unknown, acknowledged or unacknowledged. And since their needs are mostly the result of their culture and upbringing, any new knowledge is very unlikely to be the truth.

When we arrive here on earth as babies, we don’t know anything. We are born into a culture and system of beliefs, according to where our parents live. And the culture and system of beliefs into which we are born is of course the truth. To us.

Just as the different culture and different system of beliefs of someone born in a different and distant place is of course the truth. To them.

So all people, in all places, grow up in the certainty that what they believe is right. Their country is the best and most moral in the world, their system of government is the right one, their leaders are upright, their religion is the only true religion, their economic system is without equal, and their version of history is completely factual.

None of which is true, it’s merely what they’ve been taught from childhood. And they never ever questioned whether or not what they’d been told is the truth.

They never questioned what they’d been told, for two reasons. One reason is what we said before, that every way of a person is right in their own eyes. And since our parents and our culture are a part of us, what we learned from them is the truth. And if it’s the truth there is no need to question it.

The other reason we don’t question things is that from birth we are trained not to question what we’ve been told. We are all familiar with the child’s question “but why?” answered by a parent’s “because I said so!”

So all the knowledge we receive comes to us filtered through what our parents and our culture already believe. That is, the same knowledge is passed from generation to generation. And the knowledge which we receive only comes to us because it is considered to be suitable knowledge.

Suitable for whom?

Suitable for those in charge of us – our parents, our teachers, our preachers, our employers, our leaders, our government, and the owners of our government.

Suitable for them in what way?

Suitable in that what we are told must never question, and always support, the authority of our parents, our teachers, our preachers, our employers, our leaders, our government, and the owners of our government.

This is both good and bad.

Good because it ensures stability and peace in a society, and binds a society together. Bad because it prevents truth from entering a society, and divides the world into opposing groups. On the whole though, it’s good that people don’t question what they are told. It’s the way God wants it.

Because there is a time for everything, and the time for truth has not yet come. Truth, and truth’s companion, Freedom, only come with Jesus, when He again steps on the earth.

In the meantime, Satan continues to rule the planet. And under Satan’s regimes truth is a prisoner and freedom cowers in the shadows. As Isaiah said:

“Justice is driven back and stands afar off; for truth has fallen in the street, and right cannot enter.” (Isaiah 59:14)

Satan and his human tools rule the planet, truth is in chains, and what little freedom remains to ordinary people is being strangled hour by hour.

So what is to be done? How can truth be unchained and freedom be restored to strength?

They can’t. We are living in the final few days of Satan’s rule over humans, and evil will prosper until all Satan’s governments, and all his humans, are completely exterminated at the return of Jesus.

That isn’t far off, because this manifestation of Satan’s rule will be even shorter than the previous one.

To most people of course, nothing is amiss, because most people believe what they’re told. And if the authorities – governments, leaders, churches, media - tell the people that there is a great danger threatening them, then the people will believe what they are told, and do what they are told. They may grumble about it, or not, but they believe that the  authorities would never tell such blatant lies, so the orders of the authorities must be obeyed.

And since media, all media, are integrated into Satan’s regimes around the world, no opposing or dissenting information will ever be permitted to trouble the people.

And should any ever be bold enough, or foolhardy enough, to question or disobey, then the authorities have police power – the power of the gun - to compel obedience.

This is our present reality, Satan at last achieving what he has striven for since he first corrupted Nimrod in the time of Noah - the complete control and domination of all humans.

Nimrod invented a false danger of wild animals in order to impose his protection on the people and gather them into cities under his complete control. But Nimrod’s regime didn’t prosper and soon collapsed, because it was not yet time for Satan’s complete control.

But now Satan’s time has come and he has used the same tactic that worked in Nimrod’s time. The same tactic of creating in people the fear of an invented danger.

Satan has almost reached his goal. Now he just needs to increase the fear, which is easy enough to accomplish through government and media propaganda.

So the danger will be continually reinvented and increased until it is frightening enough such that all people will meekly accept Satan’s offer of protection from the imagined danger. They already are.

And then the final short, easy step – receiving an identification mark showing conformity to, and acceptance of, Satan’s offer of protection.

“Here is wisdom. Whoever has a mind, count the number of the beast, for this is a human number; his number is six hundred and sixty-six.” (Revelation 13:18)

The dividing of Planet Earth

“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” (Genesis 3:15)

As is sometimes the case in English versions of the Scriptures, the translation of this verse is deliberately meant to obscure its meaning.

The usual English translation conveys the meaning that “He” will bruise the serpent’s head and in return will have “His” heel injured. It deflects from the real meaning and diverts it into a contest between the serpent and an individual. The individual is usually presumed to be Jesus.

The actual meaning of the verse, which Satan has successfully hidden from English readers, is:

“And I will lay enmity between you (Satan) and the Woman, and between her seed and your seed. The seed of the Woman will continually damage your head, and you (Satan) will continually damage the seed of the Woman in the heel.”

The second part of the verse is predicting, not a one-time encounter between Satan and Jesus, but a continuing attack
throughout history, by one group against another. The attacking group is the seed of Satan, the other group is the seed of the Woman.

There was indeed an encounter, in several incidents, between the seed of Satan and Jesus, but that was just one part of Satan’s continuing attack, throughout history, on the seed of the Woman.

Thus now, in the end time, after Satan has been evicted from heaven and banished to Earth, we see how he has increased the intensity of his attack on the seed of the Woman:

“And when the dragon saw that he was cast to the earth, he persecuted the Woman who bore the man child. And two wings of a great eagle were given to the Woman, so that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the serpent's face. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water like a flood after the Woman, so that he might cause her to be carried away by the river. And the earth helped the Woman. And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon was enraged over the Woman, and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Revelation 12:13-17)

Satan of course is not permitted to directly harm human beings, so his viciousness must be carried out by his human tools – the people who have given themselves to evil. In other words the seed of Satan.

The seed of Satan, throughout history, have always been a relatively small group, but since the time of Nimrod until now, they have always been the wielders of power in society. As of course they are now.

Let’s go back to that time, not quite two thousand years ago, when the seed of Satan was attacking Jesus, Who at that time was the principal seed of the Woman on Earth.

Satan’s spawn had infiltrated the core group of the followers of Jesus, and bought themselves a traitor. This was not exceptional or surprising, since throughout time, in all groups, of whatever composition, there are always potential traitors.

Money, personal gain, is often the motive for betrayal, and in this case Judas’ price for deserting Jesus was thirty silver coins, paid willingly by the seed of Satan:

“And as Jesus was speaking, behold, Judas came, one of the Twelve. And with him came a great crowd with swords and clubs, being sent from the chief priests and elders of the people.” (Matthew 26:47)

Jesus was seized, and the process of murder was begun.

However, there was a problem for Satan’s spawn.  Because under Roman law, in which jurisdiction the murder was to be carried out, Jesus hadn’t done anything wrong. As the Roman politician Pilate clearly recognised:

“And the governor said, Why? What evil has He done?” (Matthew 27:23)

But Pilate could not persuade with reason and common sense, because Pilate was facing an angry mob. And reason plays no part in the functioning of a mob:

”But they cried out the more, saying, let Him be crucified!” (Matthew 7:23)

Who was this mob? Where did it come from?

Well this mob had been a crowd. A gathering of ordinary citizens of Jerusalem. A crowd of reasonable human beings who were susceptible to being persuaded of a matter by reason and common sense.

A crowd, however, was of no use to the seed of Satan. A crowd doesn’t demand the murder of an innocent man. A crowd doesn’t thirst for someone’s blood.

So the crowd had to be stirred up into a frenzy until the crowd was transformed into an unreasoning, unthinking, bloodthirsty mob.

How to do it? Easy:

“But the chief priests and elders aroused and excited the crowd that they should ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus.” (Matthew 27:20)

This is an easy trick which Satan still uses today to transform crowds into mobs.

A crowd is seeded with ordinary-looking agitators who appear to be the same as everyone else in the crowd. They are scattered throughout the crowd at certain strategic distances from each other, and these days it’s usual for them to wear a distinctive coloured garment in order to identify each other’s location.

Their task is to incite those around them, by encouraging and leading the screaming and shouting to demand whatever it is that Satan wants.

The ordinary people in the crowd, being unaware of the manipulation, think that these scattered voices, screaming for whatever, are the voice and feeling and emotion of the whole crowd. They are not of course, they are merely Satan’s organised agitators.

But the ordinary people in the crowd, believing all this to be a spontaneous manifestation of this or that demand, which they never knew they had, are quickly swept up in the manufactured passion and emotion and follow in the required direction.

In the case of Jesus, the agitators, paid by the seed of Satan, turned a Jerusalem crowd of ordinary people into a lynch mob demanding that Jesus, the seed of the Woman, be crucified.

Now travel nearly two thousand years down through history, to our time. To these last few years of Satan’s dismal rule on Earth.

Satan still turns crowds into mobs when it suits his agenda, but mostly Satan operates on a vastly bigger scale. Mobs are useful mainly for visual, public-relations purposes. That is, to be shown on TV as a “spontaneous” demonstration for or against this or that, whatever happens to be Satan’s agenda.

Satan controls, completely controls, all information available to ordinary people. So the ordinary people, the crowd, can be easily transformed into a lynch mob.

Because all the information that ordinary people receive through their media – TV and newspapers, passes through the hands of the seed of Satan.

And when Satan’s agenda requires that this or that person or group or country be hated, Satan’s paid agitators – journalists, editors, presenters, commentators, politicians, preachers, religious leaders, educationists, financial controllers, etc etc, all conspire to lead the shouting and screaming.

And since Satan has complete control of information, no voice of reason or common sense can ever be heard. All the crowd can hear is the noisome screeching of Satan’s paid spawn.

So the crowd, in this case all of society, becomes a lynch mob.

In Satan’s present world, Satan’s seed has agitated the English-speaking countries, together with their European appendages and one or two nations of the Far East, into becoming a lynch mob against the seed of the Woman.

Satan has successfully divided the world into the end-time components foretold in prophecy.

For the discerning, it might be clear who is the seed of Satan, and who is the seed of the Woman.

Counting down the days to Satan’s eviction

He’s had a good run, several thousand years. But in those several thousand years he made a complete hash of everything he attempted.

He’s quite clever, but totally lacking in wisdom and the ability to see where his actions will lead. Which means that his plans and decisions and actions result in the exact opposite of what he aims for.

The supreme example of his incompetence is in the murder of Jesus.  While Jesus remained alive, Satan remained as the legal ruler of planet earth. At the instant of Jesus’ death, the countdown began to Satan’s eviction from power. Not that he had any choice but to murder Jesus though, because Satan’s own total lack of wisdom, from his early days, had inevitably led to the murder.

And now, the days of Satan’s odious rule are rushing to zero before his eyes, and he and his human toolss can do exactly zero about it.

He and his minions can’t delay their inevitable oblivion, but what they can do, as they are now doing, is to thrash about in rage and cause as much damage to the ordinary people of earth as possible.

But Satan is now under serious attack. The areas of planet earth where he holds complete sway, and the areas where he exerts powerful influence, are being eroded.

Satan is at this moment being outsmarted, and outgunned. From the East, wisdom and strength are pushing him and his tools back behind the borders of wickedness.

Within those borders he will establish the final manifestation of human evil, that which the Scriptures call the Beast.

The rule of the Beast will be accepted, and even willingly embraced, by just about all people under Satan’s dominion. That is, by the English-speaking countries and their appendages.

This is possible because Satan has complete control over all sources of information available to the people under his sway. So people under Satan’s sway have no way to verify or question what they are told.  Thus they will accept the lies from Satan, as they are even now accepting Satan’s lies,  because they have no access to truth.

But there’s good news. The Beast will indeed rule the people imprisoned in his Empire of Evil, but only for a very short time.

Life for most people in the Empire will be hard and constricted, but most people will accept it because they have been convinced by the Liar that it is necessary for their own good.

For the few, those who will not live by any marks, life will be extremely difficult. Because they will be clearly identified as enemies of Satan’s regime, and therefore will become the enemy of the ordinary people living under Satan’s regime. The few will be hated by the many. Just as the Scriptures predict.

But the days of oppression cannot last, because there is an iron timetable in place for Satan’s complete defeat and his eviction from power.  Satan sees his days dwindling towards zero, and he can do absolutely nothing about it.

That’s good news.

Two kings speaking lies at the same table.

A former chancellor of Germany and a former president of France have publicly admitted that they conspired together to deceive another President.

The aim and hope of their lies, however, did not come to pass. And what they desired to accomplish is already embers and ashes. Because, as a wise man wrote many years ago: "
But it shall not succeed. For still the end comes at the time appointed."

Which result the deceivers should have easily foreseen, had they merely recalled the failed ambition of an earlier chancellor of Germany, and an even earlier emperor of France.

The wicked king and the Holy Covenant.

Imagine a land ruled by a wicked king.

One day three distant provinces of the land rebelled against the king and declared themselves free from his wicked rule.

The wicked king asked for help to recover his rebellious provinces, and
the kings of many other lands gave him much wealth and many weapons.

The wicked king set out with an army to subdue his distant provinces.

One province quickly closed its gate and escaped to join the land of another king, but the other two provinces had no gates to close and the wicked king fiercely attacked them.

For many years the wicked king and his army assailed the two provinces but were unable to prevail.

Eventually the wicked king returned to his own land empty of hand and heart.

As a wise man wrote it:
"And he set out to his own land with great riches and hostile intent against the Holy Covenant; he performed it and returned to his own land."

Who, therefore, is the Holy Covenant?

At a designated time, the seventh in a line of eight wicked rulers will again conduct an expedition to the south. Not that this ruler himself has already conducted an expedition to the south, he is merely shadowing the expeditions of the second and fifth manifestations of wickedness.

But this expedition will be nothing in comparison to the expeditions of his predecessors.

Because simultaneously with his own arrival in the south will be the arrival of ships from the land of Kittim. And since a confrontation with the power of the king of Kittim is not to the taste of this wicked ruler, he will turn tail and return to his lair.

As usual of course, he will be angry at the Holy Covenant and act out his anger. Not because Kittim is the land of the Holy Covenant, but because the king of Kittim is a good friend of the land of the Holy Covenant. And in any case wickedness has forever hated the Holy Covenant and will lose no opportunity to attack it.

Back in his lair, the wicked ruler will make another agreement with the completely ineffectual traitors of the land of the Holy Covenant. Then his small importance will diminish and fade in the light of the eighth wickedness.

As a wise man wrote it:
"At a designated time, he will go south again; but the last [campaign] will not be like the previous one, for simultaneously the ships of Kittim will arrive with him; and he will lose heart, and return, and be angry with the Holy Covenant, and fulfil his intention, and again enter into an agreement with the apostates from the Holy Covenant."

Who is it that goes to the south?
Which country's ships confront him?
Towards whom, on his return, does he manifest enmity?
From which country are the traitors with whom he treats?
Who, therefore, is the Holy Covenant?

In fourteen hundred and ninety two,
Columbus sailed the ocean blue....

The Western Roman Empire decayed and faded into the peoples of Western Europe and its off-shore islands. Which peoples eventually emerged as countries professing the religion of Christianity.

Strong and warlike peoples, thrusting out into the world from their own lands, to conquer and subdue weaker peoples in the name of Christianity.

Now, in a last rally of their fading strength, in our time soon, these warlike peoples, this time in the name of peace, will occupy and violate the city called Jerusalem.

Jesus told us about this two times. The first time, He said that Jerusalem would be trampled and violated by these warlike peoples until their time is up.
The second time, He said that that they would trample Jerusalem for forty two months.

As a wise man wrote it:
"And a part of the army will be delivered to them, which will defile the sanctuary of power, and stop the daily sacrifice, and set up the abomination of desolation."

* * *

And now, early in the year AD 2024, it is time to pause for a little while, and wait for events to catch up.
